200-Level Instructor Orientation

Home Teaching Support 200-Level Instructor Orientation

The 200-level new instructor orientation is mandatory for graduate students or PTK faculty members teaching a 200-level stand-alone course for the first time. It is also recommended for first-time TAs at the 100-level or first-time instructors (GA or PTK) at the 300- or 400-level. Returning instructors are also welcome (outside of AWP/PWP, which run separate programming).

The time and date of the orientation varies each semester. An email should be sent to the ENGL-ALL email mailing list roughly a month prior to the scheduled date.

Below you should find a link to all 200-level course sample syllabi. This resource should offer you a general template on how to structure your own 200-level syllabus.
